Cinerary Jar on a Floating Ground V

Stair, Julian

Ashok Specialists Venetian Plaster Finishes

Rydyn ni’n gweithio ar ryddhau’r ddelwedd hon.

Floating cinerary jar with cover in white, glazed porcelain, the ground formed of a wooden base and back covered with very dark grey Venetian plaster, the jar with a flat unglazed base and broadly triangular cross-section, tapering sides and flat shoulders with circular inset cover, the body has two evenly spaced, concentric, horizontal 'ribs' around its circumference, these have been left in a relatively unfinished state in some areas and small scrpaings of clay are visible, the plaster base is constructed in wood with a layer of Venetian plaster on the visible faces and has a flat platform and perpendicular back.

Mae'r wefan hon yn tynnu ar ddata casgliadau hŷn. Rydyn ni'n cydnabod y gall peth o'r wybodaeth fod wedi dyddio neu'n gwahaniaethu, ac yn gweithio i ddiweddaru ein cofnodion. Os oes gennych gwestiwn neu sylw ar ddarn o gelf, cysylltwch â ni.

GB. SCOTLAND. St Andrews, The Pier Walk is an ancient University tradition in which all students can take part. On Sundays (and some special occasions), students meet in St Salvators Quad before walking down to the harbour wearing their gowns the reason for this custom is lost in the mists of time! Gowns encouraged but not compulsory. 1967
