Circular bowl, buff-coloured stoneware on a round foot rim, round coil of clay attached to the edge of the bowl with a larger coil of clay in two sections on top, the bowl has two handles, one of semi-circular form made from a coil of clay and the other of an elongated form also made from a coil of clay; the exterior and upper section of the bowl is covered in a green and brown speckled salt glaze, the interior has a smooth greenish-blue salt glaze.

GB. WALES. Aberfan. The Aberfan disaster was a catastrophic collapse of a colliery spoil tip in the Welsh village of Aberfan, on 21 October 1966, killing 116 children and 28 adults.
